SalesThumb connects payments so each shop has its own payout account and gets paid directly. We never hold your funds.
Setup
1. In SalesThumb, go to Settings → Payments. 2. In the "Accept payments" card, click Connect payments. (If you started an application before and haven't finished it, this button reads Resume onboarding instead, and the card shows "Application in review" along with its status.) 3. The onboarding form loads right there, inline, in the same card — there's no redirect to a separate site, and no "sign in to an existing payout account" step. If you're resuming an unfinished application, it continues that same application rather than starting a new one. 4. Fill in your business and owner information directly in the embedded form, then submit. SalesThumb's Terms of Service are linked from within the form itself — you won't be sent to a separate agreement page. 5. That information goes straight to Rainforest, SalesThumb's payments processor — it never touches SalesThumb's own servers. 6. After you submit, the card shows your application is in review while it's underwritten. Approval isn't instant — check back on Settings → Payments any time; if you left something unfinished, that's exactly what "Resume onboarding" picks back up. 7. Once approved, the card shows "✓ Payments connected — you're ready to accept charges," and Credit / Debit Card flips to Enabled under Accepted Payment Methods.
What unlocks once connected
- Public booking page can capture deposits at booking time.
- Quotes can include a "Pay deposit" checkout link.
- Invoices can include a "Pay now" link (card).
- Pay from their phone — the customer-facing pay link works from the customer's own phone, no card reader required.
- Refunds + partial refunds initiated from SalesThumb.
Tips for new payout accounts
- Bank account must be verified before you can withdraw.
- Deposit timing follows SalesThumb's standard payments schedule — SalesThumb doesn't add its own hold or delay on top, and there's no self-serve daily/weekly toggle inside SalesThumb today.
- Processing fees — your all-in rate (interchange, assessments, processor markup, and SalesThumb's cut bundled into one number) is shown in full before you connect. It comes out before you're paid.
- Card is the online option today — ACH/bank transfer as a self-serve online checkout method is listed in Settings → Payments as planned but isn't live yet. Cash, check, and ACH payments a customer pays you directly are all recorded manually.
- Changing your payout bank account later isn't a self-serve edit inside SalesThumb today — email info@roffik.com and we'll help you get it updated.
Why each shop owns its account
We connect payments this way because: 1. Your money goes directly to your account — not through SalesThumb. 2. You retain full dashboard access for refunds, disputes, payouts. 3. If you ever leave SalesThumb, your payout account stays with you intact.
If you have multiple shops under one parent payout account, each shop still gets its own connection inside SalesThumb. They share the parent account and its deposit schedule.
